Popular singer Mika Singh recently presented Dalbir Kaur with a Khanda (military emblem of the Sikhs), on a reality show.
Kaur is the brave sister of Sarabjit Singh – the man who was wrongly incarcerated as an Indian spy in a Pakistan prison.
Along with handing her the emblem, the singer also promised Dalbir that when Poonam, Sarabjit’s younger daughter, decides to get married, he will bear all the expenses of the wedding.
Dalbir Kaur did everything in her power to prove her brother as innocent. During her struggle, Dalbir met Shamsher Singh, singer Mika Singh’s older brother, and one of the key people who protested at Jantar Mantar for Sarabjit’s release, reports The Times of India.
Sarabjit’s story has been made into a soon-to-release biopic, where Randeep Hooda plays Sarabjit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays his sister, Dalbir Kaur, who fought courageously for 23 years to get her brother out of a Pakistani prison.
Along with making Dalbir and the rest of her family happy, Mika also touched Randeep Hooda’s heart.
