Mick Jagger, the 73-year-old lead singer of the iconic English rock n roll band The Rolling Stones, has become a father to his eighth child in New York on Thursday.
Melanie Hamrick, an American ballerina dancer who has been Jagger's girlfriend since 2014 and is 44 years younger to him, gave birth to a baby boy. Previously, Jagger has had children with Bianca Jagger, Marsha Hunt, Jerry Hall and Luciana Gimenez.
Fran Curtis, the long-time publicist for the Rolling Stones, said in a statement:
Jagger has apparently taken the necessary measures to cover for his son's future expenses, including education, according to a Daily Mail report.
With this development, the American singing sensation seems to have established quite a complex family tree – being the father of eight, grandfather of five, and even great-grandfather of one.
Twitter was quick to react to this development, which we admit, sounds a tad bit unusual.
