Manveer Gurjar has confirmed that he had got married, but clarified that he had wed under "family pressure and emotional blackmail". And he’s now separated from his wife.

I got married in 2014 as people around me had pressurised and blackmailed me emotionally.

He, however, said that in the controversial show – hosted by Salman Khan – he did not bring his marriage on the forefront as his "terms with wife are not good".

“After the marriage, our relation was going good for five to six months. But then my wife left me or we can say that we parted ways,” he said.

In an interview with HT City, Manveer’s 56-year-old father Maharaj Singh admitted that his son in fact has a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, who lives with them.

After one-and-half-years, Manveer and his wife started having problems. I don’t know what problems, only Manveer can talk about it. But yes my daughter-in-law and their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter live with us.

After staying for over 100 days in a locked-up house in Lonavala for Bigg Boss 10, Gurjar, who entered the popular reality TV show as part of the 'aam aadmi' contingent, was received with huge celebrations at his home in Noida.

After his win, videos of his marriage were a rage on internet though Manveer had never spoken about his marriage on the show.

Earlier, Manveer Gurjar and his family denied all reports of his marriage. Even during his stint in the Bigg Boss house, Manveer became close to Nitibha Kaul and his fans fondly started calling them ‘NitiVeer’.
