Mahira Khan Is Disappointed About Missing SRK’s ‘Raees’ Promotions

Mahira Khan is bummed out about not being a part of the pre-release promotions for ‘Raees’.

Mahira Khan is reportedly quite bummed out about not being able to join the promotional activity around Raees, thanks to India’s ban on Pakistani artists. The actress apparently told Express Tribune in an interview that she’s sad and disappointed because she put in a lot of effort into the Shah Rukh Khan starrer.

Of course, I feel bad. When you put so much effort and hard work in a project, you wish to see the results. I work with same dedication and zeal in all my projects, but<em> Raees</em> is very special.

Mahira plays Shah Rukh Khan’s love interest in the film. Shah Rukh Khan and producer Ritesh Sadhwani met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray in December last year, to ensure a smooth release of the film. SRK reportedly promised MNS that Mahira will not be a part of the film’s pre-release promotions and that he will not be working with Pakistani actors in future. Mahira wasn’t candid but she did say that the more she speaks, the more her film might get into trouble.

I’m scared about saying what I feel. I believe I’ll end up causing offence. It is unfortunate though.
