Mahesh Bhatt has adorned many filmi hats- director, scriptwriter, producer and now he’s taken to acting. Bhatt will make his acting debut as a Buddhist monk in director Mukul Misra’s first film titled ‘Siddhartha’.
The film stars Shivam Bhargav in the lead role as Siddhartha along with Shazahn Padamsee as his lady love. Misra confirmed that Bhatt will be playing the crucial role of a Lama who firmly believes that Buddha lies in Siddhartha and helps him find the answers he seeks.
Bhatt’s look in the film was shared on social media and he seems to be carrying off his character quite effortlessly.
Bhatt agreed to take up the acting opportunity as he could relate with Misra’s vision and reportedly has a a good understanding of Buddhism. He also said in a recent interview that just like the protagonist, he too is in a constant search for answers. Mukul Misra’s production house Trigger Happy Entertainment has produced promos for several films directed and produced by Bhatt in the past.
