Many rejoiced the acquittal of Salman Khan in the hit-and-run case, but the Maharashtra government informed the Bombay High Court on Thursday about its decision to file a special leave petition against the same, in the Supreme Court. Government pleader Abhinandan Vagyani shared that the SLP will be filed in January itself. The latest development on the case has been revealed by an official statement released by a division bench of Justice Abhay Oka and Justice Gautam Patel:

In view of this statement (of the government pleader), for the time being, we are not considering the implications of the observations made by the Single Judge in the said judgment and order about the major defects in the investigation.
