Terming it as a ‘Sankriti Surprise’, Bollywood’s undisputed dancing and acting diva Madhuri Dixit had unveiled the first look of her debut Marathi film Bucket List in January.
Donning a domestically traditional look, replete with a Mangalsutra, a moss green saree and a red bindi, she looks like the quintessential woman next door a la Sridevi in English Vinglish and Vidya Balan in Tumhari Sulu.
The vibrant backdrop of the poster seemed to suggest the myriad descriptors that her character in the film embodies - housewife, mother, friend, sister and more and it comes across as a slice-of-life film.
Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, who has also written the film script along with Devashree Shivadekar, Bucket List is slated to be a summer 2018 release.
Dixit was last seen in the black-comedy Dedh Isqiya and crime drama Gulaab Gang in 2014.
On March 25, she took to Twitter to unveil the teaser. She is seen in the avatar of a housewife rediscovering her identity and finding a new calling.
