Director Vasan Bala's action thriller Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota won the top award at the 43rd Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) which concluded here on Sunday. The film, which was India's first-ever entry into the festival's "Midnight Madness" segment, won the People's Choice Midnight Madness Award. But overall, director Peter Farrelly's film Green Book about racial segregation in the 1960s US, won the top People's Choice Award by beating If Beale Street Could Talk by director Barry Jenkins and Roma by Mexican director Alfonso Cuaron. Actress Radhika Madan, whose debut film "Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota", won a top award at the 43rd Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) that concluded here on Sunday, said it was a surreal moment and couldn't have asked for more.
The film, which was India's first-ever entry into the festival's "Midnight Madness" segment, won the People's Choice Midnight Madness Award.
"I don't know what to say. It is so surreal... First to get selected for the festival and then to win the award for the best film... I just couldn't think, to be honest," the 23-year-old actress told IANS at the festival's after party.
Veteran devotional singer Anup Jalota, who is participating in the 12th season of reality TV show "Bigg Boss", says he would try his best to maintain peace in the house.
The singer will be entering the house tonight and says his spirituality will help him to stay calm in the show, which is infamous for controversies.
"Everyone is not same. There are problems in a family, these things do happen. I am so much involved in spiritual and classical music... I don't have anger left in my life. I love music, I love to sing. It will be interesting to see how it is going to be inside the house," Jalota told PTI.

The logo of Thugs of Hindostan has just been released. The film stars Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh and has been directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. It releases on 8 November.
Veteran Kerala actor, Captain Raju, died on Monday at his residence here, said family sources. He was 68.
While travelling from here to the US in June to attend his son's marriage, the actor suffered stroke and was shifted to a hospital in Muscat.
After a week's treatment in Muscat, he was airlifted back to Kochi on July 2.
