Well-known character artiste and comedian Kovai Senthil, known for his roles in Tamil films like Padayappa, En Rathathin Rathame, Avasara Police 100, etc passed away in Coimbatore on Sunday. Due to deteriorating health, the actor was admitted at a private hospital in Vadavalli, Coimbatore where he breathed his last. He was 74.
Kovai Senthil has appeared in supporting roles in many Tamil films. The actor was seen in CS Amudhan’s 2010 spoof film Tamizh Padam, playing the role of Nattamai (village head).
The director shared his memory of the scene on Twitter writing that Kovai Senthil had completed the shot in one take.
Three months after his death in June, Anthony Bourdain was honored with six Emmy awards at this year’s Creative Arts Emmys for his show Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.
The show took home trophies for best informational series or special, writing for non-fiction program, picture editing for a non-fiction program, sound editing for a non-fiction program and sound mixing for a non-fiction program. Bourdain personally won two of the Emmys, for writing and informational series or special.

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to a hospital here due to chest infection, has shown "lots of improvement" and is currently doing fine.
The actor was diagnosed with mild pneumonia, his wife Saira Banu said Thursday. The 95-year-old actor was admitted to Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra on Wednesday.
"He is in ICU but is fine now. There has been a lot of improvement in his health. Doctors are doing the check up and the treatment is on too. He is normal and we are very much happy with the progress," Ajay Kumar Pande, Vice President of Lilavati Hospital told PTI.

Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha will star in Turram Khan, a social-comedy directed by Hansal Mehta. The story is set in a small town of Uttar Pradesh. Turram Khan will be produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The film starts production in Nov 2018. Rajkummar and Nushrat will be seen together 9 years after Love Sex Aur Dhokha.

Filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron took home the Golden Lion for "Roma" at the 75th Venice Film Festival.
The prize was given to him by jury president and friend Guillermo del Toro here on Saturday, reports IANS.
"Roma" is a semi-autobiographical black-and-white film on Cuaron's early upbringing in 1970s Mexico City, seen through the eyes of his housekeeper Cleo. While Netflix has not yet committed to a theatrical release before it hits the streamer, this prize will certainly put weight behind an Oscar campaign for the film, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

According to a report by a daily, the Kannada actor Rashmika Mandanna who recently starred opposite Vijay Deverakonda in the Telugu film, Geetha Govindam has broken off her engagement with Rakshit Shetty due to compatibility issues.
A source close to the actor said, "Rashmika made the decision after consulting with her parents, family elders and friends. It was a tough decision to make, but she is showing a lot of character in overcoming this personal and emotional setback."
