Months of speculations involving Jon Snow’s fate has finally come to rest. Obviously fans had their gut feelings in the right place. The Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch was indeed resurrected by the sorceress Melissandre, in the latest episode of the epic series.

But Kit Harrington, who had been mysteriously silent and never once let out a single clue, has finally broken his silence and apologised for lying about his death.

In an exclusive interview with EW, the actor said:

Sorry for lying to everyone. I’m glad that people were upset that he died. my biggest worry was that people were not going to care or be fine that Jon snow was dead. But it seemed like people did have a similar reaction... like the red wedding episode kind of grief about it which means that something I am doing the show’s doing is right.

For over ten months, Harrington was protecting the biggest Game of Thrones spoiler, for which he even delivered an off-camera performance confirming that his character is 100 percent dead.

It’s okay Jon, we’re just glad that you’re back!
