Chetan Bhagat launched his next book titled One Indian Girl in Mumbai on Saturday evening and Kangana Ranaut graced the occasion not only with her presence, but another coded message for her rumoured ex, Hrithik Roshan.

A journalist at the event asked Kangana to respond to Rakesh Roshan’s recent statement saying that if Hrithik decides to bring the truth out in public, it will shock everyone. Kangana responded to the question with her signature girl power.

Why can’t men stand up for themselves? Why does a father have to come to rescue his 43 year old son? They’ll keep hiding behind their influential father’s big name. He’s an adult and he can pretty much handle his own controversies in show business. It’s just a simple controversy. Why do daddies have to always save their sons? I don’t understand this.

Kangana also raved about Chetan Bhagat’s book and said that it brought her to tears.

The author said that this book is also relevant to men as it will help them understand women better. Bhagat also shared his ‘excruciating’ experience of having written the One Indian Girl.

Chetan Bhagat also read out excerpts from his new book urging readers to get a copy. But the highlight of the evening of course was Kangana Ranaut and her comment hinting at the Hrithik Roshan controversy. After all, she’s One (heck of a) Indian Girl.
