The 48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) was in the eye of the storm for the deserving movies that didn’t make the cut. The fest got its touch of glitz with Bollywood’s biggest stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Sridevi, Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar gracing the stage.
The film based on Rabindranath Tagore, Thinking of Him closed the festival in Panaji. Now as the curtains are being drawn on the weeklong-fiesta with the closing ceremony of the 48th edition of IFFI, it is a bittersweet feeling for film buffs. An exciting lineup preceded the conclusion as Zaira Wasim and Karan Johar hosted the closing ceremony.

Atom Egoyan, eminent Canadian Filmmaker received the Lifetime Achievement Award and Amitabh Bachchan was honoured with the title of Indian Film Personality of the Year.

Best Female Actor Award – Parvathy Thiruvoth Kottuvatta, Take Off
Best Male Actor Award - Nahuel Perez Biscayart, 120 Beats Per Minute
Lifetime Achievement Award – Atom Egoyan
Best Debut Film of a Director Award – Kiro Russo, Dark Skull
ICFT Unesco Gandhi Medal – Kshitij A Horizon
Special Jury Award – Mahesh Narayanan, Take Off
