Shah Rukh-Juhi’s ‘Darr’ Gets a Web Series Makeover With ‘Darr 2.o’

If kkkk...Kiran still gives you goosebumps, the new age version of the Shah Rukh Khan- Juhi Chawla thriller is something you’ll love. Y-Films just released the trailer of its upcoming web-series titled Darr 2.0 and it takes stalking to a whole new level in today’s digital world.

The dark and edgy five part series on cyber stalking will bring back Rahul, Kiran and Sunil from the Yash Chopra flick to show how the invasion of our privacy online and social media harassment, can take a dangerous turn for the worst.

The teaser is creepy even without revealing the stalker and the Darr title tune brings back memories of the best stalker-thriller Bollywood has ever seen. The show’s cast is yet to be revealed and the series will be available on the Y-Films YouTube Channel.

Interestingly, the makers have been spreading the word about the show by asking fans and viewers to send in their happy pictures and big moments in the form of social media posts, some of which even feature in the teaser. The web-series is bound to make you suspicious about every new follower you win on social media. 

And while you wait for this new-age thriller, here’s looking back at the Yash Chopra classic. How much the show is inspired by the film remains to be seen.
