When Kuch Kuch Hota Hai released, we couldn’t ever imagine a fall-out between the close pair of buddies that were Karan and Kajol. In his autobiography, An Unsuitable Boy, that he has co-authored with Poonam Saxena, KJo goes ahead and let’s it off his chest. He shines a light upon his friendships, past and present, and Kajol is definitely in the former category.
Karan Johar opens up on how it started to go wrong.
And it all boils down to Kajol’s husband, Ajay Devgn. Karan admits Kajol was caught between a battle between the two men and she decided to choose her husband over her friend.
Johar then denounced the couple, saying he “never want(s) to have anything to do with them as a unit”. Johar had been mortified to learn that Kajol supported the claim that Johar had bribed KRK to speak negatively about Devgn’s film.
One thing is for sure. There’s no reconciliation on the horizon.
