Hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, STAR Network show TED Talks India: Nayi Baat is returning with its second season on 2 November. Shah Rukh Khan has time and again talked about how young lives inspire him. This time, a 13-year-old inventor, Gitanjali Rao, caught his eye. Rao believes you are never too young to create technology to help people and save lives. Gitanjali has invented a portable device - named ‘Tethys’ - a quick, low-cost test to detect lead contamination in water.
And the 13-year-old got a chance to show her experiment on the TED platform in front of Shah Rukh Khan.
This season of TED Talks India: Nayi Baat aims to focus on pressing issues that India is faced with today - environmental changes, healthcare, sexual abuse among others. 26 young millennials will be leading the way as change makers and will bring to the fore the technology they have worked on with a hope for better future.
The show will be available in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali. The previous season of the show featured Javed Akhtar, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Jasmeen Patheja, Sundar Pichai, and Shubha Tole, among others as guest speakers.
