Netflix is set to release its second original Marathi film after Aruna Raje’s Firebrand. Titled 15 August, the film has been produced by Madhuri Dixit and Shriram Nene and is a heartwarming tale of love and unity.
The story follows a day in the lives of the residents of a Mumbai chawl. As they prepare for the flag-hoisting ceremony on Independence Day, mayhem unfolds when they are brought together by a man trying to woo his beloved.

The film has been directed by Swapnaneel Jaykar and stars Rahul Pethe, Mrunmayee Deshpande, and Adinath Kothare. 15 August will be available on Netflix from 29 March.
