Altered Carbon - S1
Based on the 2002 novel of the same name by author Richard K. Morgan, Altered Carbon is a 10-part science-fiction cyberpunk drama that is gaining ground not only for its premise but also because it apparently evokes Bladerunner. Set 300 years in the future in a futuristic version of San Francisco called Bay City, where people live on and achieve immortality by transferring their consciousness to different bodies. The lone surviving soldier from a group of warriors who were defeated in an uprising against the new world order must solve a murder.

In a rural Iowa community during the Great Depression, a stranger with a violent past poses as a preacher and rallies the farmers to mount a strike. Starring Logan Marshall-Green, the epic saga centres around the mythic conflict and bloody struggle between big money and the downtrodden, labour vs capital.

The CGI and the production design are said to be topnotch.
