Amazon Prime Video’s new original Mind the Malhotras will be out on June 7 and the duo who started together as VJs have now found their on-screen partners in each other. Mini Mathur and Cyrus Sahukar are trying to figure it out as parents as they make their mistakes, find the lost spark in their marriage and make you feel like they are just like any other couple navigating parenthood.
Cyrus plays Rishabh Malhotra, father of three who seeks out therapy with his wife Shefali, played by Mini Malhotra. As the couples around them go through troubled waters, Rish and Shef look out for some damage control in their own marriage.

The show has been produced by Dia Mirza’s Born Free Entertainment and is an adaptation of an Israeli TV show La Famiglia.
The Quint asked Mini and Cyrus about the difference in how parenting has changed over the years. “In the ‘90s, you never asked your parents for permission to go on a trip, you would just simply tag along.”
Mini says that it was all about convincing parents that your other friends were also going and that they’d make you feel bad if you didn’t go. She says nowadays all kids have to do is just tell their parents that they need a phone and they get it. She says, “When we were growing up, there were hardly any phones and what we had was so expensive.”
If you are parents, and are in doubt about what’s right and wrong, and whether you are telling your kids the right things, watch ‘Mind the Malhotras’.
