After the success of Netflix’s anthology film Lust Stories, directors Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap are coming together again to spread some chills with Ghost Stories. The directors are looking forward to explore the horror genre and experiment.
Production of Netflix's Ghost Stories is set to begin in August. The short segments, each directed by one filmmaker, will be thematically connected to each other just like Lust Stories.
Ghost Stories is the third collaboration between Netflix and production house RSVP. The film is prroduced by Ronnie Screwvala and RSVP, in association with Ashi Dua of Flying Unicorn Entertainment.
Dibakar feels horror as a genre has incredible room to experiment and explore.
Anurag, who has collaborated with Netflix on multiple occasions, had this to say.
Released in June last year, Lust Stories featured a a mix of actors including Radhika Apte, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani. It became Netflix's largest-watched original in percentage terms in any individual market in its first month.
