The first teaser of the final season of the popular show, Game of Thrones, has dropped online. We now know that the eighth and final season of the fantasy epic will start rolling from 14 April, 2019. The show producers HBO announced the premiere date of the eighth season of Game of Thrones just before the premiere of the third season of True Detective.

The Game of Thrones teaser released by HBO shows the Stark children returning home to reunite in the family’s crypt at Winterfell. The teaser was tweeted with the hashtag #ForTheThrone.

Fans of the show need not be disappointed as this won’t mark the end of the hugely popular show. According to reports, HBO is already working on spinoffs of Game of Thrones and has even greenlit a pilot titled The Long Night, which is a prequel to the series.
