A new addition to the Star Wars universe, is Disney Plus’ new space-opera streaming television series The Mandalorian. The series will take place a couple of years after the events of Return of the Jedi and follows the journey of a lone Mandalorian gunfighter( a fictional race of people).
Jon Favreau who recently directed the mammoth Avengers: Endgame is the showrunner on The Mandalorian. He promised that the show would be ‘darker and freakier’ than earlier movies of the Star Wars universe.
The teaser released is short and crisp and doesn’t give away too much of the storyline. But there are some breathtaking action sequences in what seems like a desolate wasteland where the helmets of stormtroopers are hung on bloody spears.
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, The Mandalorian is the other warrior in the Star Wars universe, although his face is barely seen in the teaser. The series streams on Disney Plus from November 12.
