‘Coolie No.1’ ‘Hero No. 1’ ‘Biwi No. 1’ Set For a Remake

According to reports, Eros Entertainment has acquired a 50% stake in Bollywood producer Vashu Bhagnani’s Puja Entertainment & Films Ltd. This deal has given Eros access to remake some of the yesteryear hits produced by Bhagnani’s film banner. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh has confirmed that as part of the Eros-Bhagnani agreement, three Govinda-Karisma Kapoor-starrers Hero No.1, Coolie No.1 and Biwi No.1 will be remade soon.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will also be remade with a probable cast of Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra.

Work on the script has already begun. The makers are considering Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra for <i><b>Bade Miyan Chote Miyan</b></i>. Ranbir Kapoor or Ranveer Singh are on their wish-list for <i><b>Hero No. 1</b></i>. The producers will be collaborating on several new projects as well which are still in the pipeline. For now the focus is on these two remakes.
