Game of Thrones actor Kit Harrington admits to lying about his death in ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6!

Jon Snow is not dead! He said so himself! Kit Harrington, who plays the popular character in HBO’s Emmy winning series Game of Thrones, told the Entertainment Weekly that he lied about his death. He also apologised for playing the prank on fans of the show.

I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone. I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the <i>Red Wedding</i> episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing — or the show is doing — is right.

Game of Thrones had shocked fans by killing Jon Snow, one of the most beloved characters of the fantasy drama, in the finale of season five. But the second episode of season six will throw up a major surprise it seems.

Melisandre, through the use of an incantation, resuscitated the late (now living) Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. The return of John Snow was predicted by a host of fans, as the makers maintained that he was gone for good. But fans never believed in his being written off, unlike so many other loved characters who met gruesome ends on the show. ‘Home’, the second episode of season six has proved them all right.
