1. Fawad Khan Looks Upto Birthday Boy Aamir Khan

He may enjoy a tremendous fan following, especially among girls, but Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan says he does not want to be just an eye candy in a film. 

I just don’t want to be an eye candy in a film. For me, as an actor, meaty roles are what I rely on. (Like) dancing is not one of my fortes, so I feel the ability to try, and get into different characters which involves you being taken to a completely new avatar.

The 34-year-old rose to prominence in the 2007 Pakistani movie Khuda Kay Liye, before gaining acclaim for his Pakistani TV shows Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai. When it comes to versatility, Fawad looks up to Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and the actor aims to attain that kind of career graph.

An example of getting into different characters would be Aamir Khan. I really admire what he has done with his career. That kind of graph is what I want to achieve. Trying something new every time, not letting it remain stable.

The actor will be seen in Shakun Batra’s Kapoor & Sons, along with Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt, on March 18th. 

2. Sonakshi Sinha, Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor Announce IIFA 2016 in Marid, Spain

IIFA 2016 will be held in Spain! The excited Bollywood trio- Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Sonakshi Sinha made the official announcement in the city of Madrid today. The International Indian Film Academy awards will be hosted by a European country for the fourth time and isn’t Bollywood excited! The award ceremony will be aired on popular TV channel Colors.

The Mayor of Madrid also presented the IIFA 2016 team with a special gift as Spain was declared the host for 2016’s biggest Bollywood bash. 

3. Mirzya to Hit Theatres on October 7th, 2016

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s next Mirzya, starring Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher will be out on big screens across the country on October 7th this year. An excited Anil Kapoor told fans to mark their calendars for his son’s filmi debut via Twitter.

Mirziya, an epic love story set in Rajasthan, is inspired by the folk tale of the legend of Mirza and Sahiban. 

4. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt Are Upto Something Mysterious

Social media is buzzing with these pictures of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh sharing screen space. In one, Alia is dressed up as a badass cabbie sipping some cutting chai, while Ranveer Singh looks like a fresh off the boat newcomer in a big city. While there’s no confirmation yet on whether this is for a TV commercial or a secret upcoming film, but they do have us getting all curious.

In another image, Alia sports a sweet and simple get-up in a maroon sari and a ponytailed look, and Ranveer flaunts a bright and funky leopard print jacket, with a mischievous smile on his face.

Mysteriously enough, popular travel portal MakeMyTrip.Com tweeted recently welcoming the duo to the ‘MakeMyTrip family’. This hints at a fun commercial is about to hit the small screen. But we’ll just have to wait to find out.

5. Sonam Kapoor Takes Over From Aishwarya Rai as the Brand Ambassador for Kalyan Jewellers

Sonam Kapoor will take the place of Aishwarya Rai, who has been associated Kalyan Jewellers for the last three years. Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya Bachchan continue to be the ambassadors for the leading jewellery chain.

Sonam, 30, will endorse Kalyan’s exquisite range of gold and diamond jewellery. The jewellery brand made an official announcement today confirming the same,
