1. SC Stays Proceedings Against Salman Khan Over Caste Remarks

The Supreme Court on Monday put on hold the proceedings pending against Bollywood superstar Salman Khan before several courts across the country in cases registered under the SC/ST Act for alleged derogatory remarks against a community.

A bench of Chief Justice Deepak Misra, Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and Justice D.Y. Chandrachud also issued notice to states on the actor's plea seeking quashing of several proceedings after complaints and FIRs were registered last year.

3. Oops! Elli Avrram Deletes Salman & Iulia’s Pic After Uploading It

Looks like Eli Avrram didn’t get Salman Khan’s memo. While there’s been a lot of chatter about Salman Khan and his relationship with Iulia Vantur, bhai has been very careful about not getting clicked together with the Romanian singer and actor. Salman Khan and Iulia have never posed for a picture together even though they have been to the same public event.

However, it seems that their good friend Elli Avrram didn’t know about Salman’s golden rule, because the Swedish dancer and actor posted a picture of Salman, Iulia and herself on her Instagram - only to quickly delete it later!

4. Netflix’s First Danish Series ‘The Rain’ Promises Thrills & Chills

Dystopia is here to stay, at least when it comes to fiction. After the success of the German science fiction series Dark, Netflix’s first Scandinavian series is all set to thrill you with it’s post-apocalyptic plot.

5. SC Dismisses Agnivesh’s Plea of Deletion of ‘Padmaavat’ Scenes

The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed the plea of social activist Swami Agnivesh seeking deletion of scenes from the film Padmaavat on the ground that it glorified the practice of Jauhar.

The apex court bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices A.M. Khanwilkar and D.Y. Chandrachud rejected the plea of Angivesh which also sought lodging of FIR against the producer and director of the film for glorifying the social evil of jauhar (self immolation by widows on their husband's funeral pyre).
