Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and film producer Guneet Monga have featured in the Variety's International Women's Impact Report 2018.
Excited about it, Deepika tweeted on International Women's Day on Thursday: "Honoured and humbled joining these amazing achievers! Thank you Variety."

New York Times has published an obituary on the iconic Madhubala 49 years after her demise. She is among the 15 people from across the world whose obituaries were published on 8 March as a beginning of amends of what the publication says "a stark lesson in how society valued various achievements and achievers.” NYT has been publishing obits since 1851 but they have been mostly on white men. They have now begun to go beyond it with the ‘Overlooked’ section. Madhubala rubs shoulders here with the likes of Charlotte Bronte and Ida B Wells.

Powerful performances won big at the Kerala State Film Awards which were announced on Thursday. Parvathy, who played the lead role in the critically-acclaimed as well as commercially successful film Take Off, won the Best Actor (Female) award. In the male category, actor Indrans bagged the top honour for his role of a distraught father searching for his missing son in the movie Aalorukkam.
Parvathy has earlier won the award in 2015 for her performance in the movie Charlie. Lijo Jose Pallisery walked away with the award for Best Director for his film E Ma You. It was a film shot in just 18 days and had been invited for screenings in various prestigious international film festivals.

A live-action, theatrical film based on the iconic Archie Comics characters, in full Bollywood style, is in the works. The Bollywood film will reimagine the classic characters Archie, Betty, Veronica, Reggie, Moose and Jughead as Indians and will feature all the classic elements of the hugely popular comic book series.
Archie Comics, in partnership with Graphic India is in the initial stages of developing a modern, entertaining screenplay that would resonate with longtime Archie fans in India and beyond.

Designer Masaba Gupta took off to visit her father, former West Indies cricketer Sir Vivian Richards on his 66th birthday along with her mother Neena Gupta. Masaba took to Instagram to share a soul-stirring message: “It’s been a bit astonishing, how short life can be .. which is why I dropped every single ‘important’ thing I was doing to come surprise my dad on his birthday today & even had an impromptu family reunion.
