Coldplay Concert in Mumbai & it’s FREE Thanks to Modi?

Here is why we might need to thanks the PM for the Coldplay concert in India.

After a day of sulking over the jaw-dropping prices of the Coldplay concert and then spending the rest of the day laughing on the funny memes and tweets made on it, this is what I woke up to – Coldplay confirms their November 19th concert in Mumbai and hold on for this 80% of the fans will get tickets for FREE!

We know what’s going on in your head, there has to be a twist, they just can’t give out tickes for free right? You are right... fans will have to earn them by undertaking actions in support of education, equality, and sanitation campaigns. Starting Monday, i.e. 12 September, tickets to the Global Citizen Festival in India can be earned via this new platform for which you’ll have to sign up to become a Global Citizen and complete the festival’s action campaigns at GlobalCitizen.in

This is the first-ever Global Citizen Festival in India and Coldplay fans it’s time you thank NaMo. Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans told Billboard that he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and even Coldplay met the PM a year and a half ago... and that’s apparently how it all started.

We were very fortunate a few years ago when Prime Minister Narendra Modi came onstage at the Global Citizen Festival in New York, and then after that, we brought Chris Martin from Coldplay to Delhi to meet with the Prime Minister about a year and a half ago and we started working intensively on bringing Global Citizen to India.
