The trailer of Martin Scorsese’s much awaited film The Irishman released on 31 July. What hits the viewers immediately is the use of digital de-aging effects on Robert De Niro. The film will be releasing on Netflix, and will be followed by a premiere at the New York Film Festival.

The film marks a reunion of a lot of people, as De Niro and Al Pacino will be working together for the fourth time in it, after The Godfather II. Even Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro will be reuniting with this after giving classic hits together, like Taxi Driver, Casino, Goodfellas and more.

Watch the trailer here:

The little over two-minute teaser introduces the characters - Robert plays hitman Frank Sheeran, an outsider in the largely Italian-run mob. Al Pacino plays Jimmy Hoffa, Frank’s old friend.

It is biographical crime drama based on a book I Heard You Paint Houses by Charles Brandt. True story of Frank Sheeran, who was also known as The Irishman and how he was involved in the mysterious disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa, the former president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

It was being said earlier that the film was taking longer than expected to release because of the de-aging effects that had to be done, a glimpse of which we see in the trailer as De Niro plays a younger Frank Sheeran.
