The 92nd Academy Awards were held in Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, on 9 February. Parasite became the first film, not in English language, to win the Oscar for Best Picture in the history of Academy Awards. Joaquin Phoenix and Renee Zellweger won the Oscars for Best Actor and Actress, respectively.

Among the films nominated this year were Joker, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, Parasite, Little Women, Marriage Story, Jojo Rabbit. Joker led the nominations list with 11 nominations.

Parasite won four awards including Best Picture and Best Director at the 92nd Academy Awards.
