Veteran TV host Carol Burnett has won the inaugural Carol Burnett Award to recognize a lifetime achievement in television. "I am really gobsmacked by this," she said after the announcement. "Does this mean I get to accept it every year?"
Music composer Justin Hurwitz has won Best Original Score - Motion Picture for his work in the Damien Chazelle-directed biopic First Man.
The track "Shallow" from A Star Is Born has won Best Original Song - Motion Picture with the Globe being shared by Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt.
"As a woman in music, it is really hard to be taken seriously as a musician and as a songwriter," Gaga said.
Regina King has won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for her role in Moonlight director Barry Jenkins’ James Baldwin adaptation If Beale Street Could Talk.
