The genius behind films like Incepton, Interstellar, and Dunkirk, Christopher Nolan’s next film has been a secret project for too long. However, in a recent interview the Twilight star Robert Pattinson, who will be starring in Nolan’s upcoming project, revealed that the film is expected to be the length of three movies combined.
Here’s what Robert had to say:
Depending on what Robert Pattinson considers to be the length of one (feature) film, the rough estimate can vary. On the conservative side of the spectrum, three 80-minute movies would mean that Nolan’s film could be almost 4 hours long. Or possibly even more. While that’s not a completely new phenomenon, it is unusual. Even for those of us in India who are still in the habit of, and wouldn’t mind, sitting for a three-hour film.
However, considering Nolan’s past record of filmmaking, it’s no surprise. His films are hardly known for their concise storytelling. They easily stretch for 120 minutes or more. After all, the man needs to do justice to his fascinating scripts right?
The intrigue doesn’t end there. According to an international entertainment website, Robert Pattinson had to get locked in a room to readthe script and called it “unreal”.
While there are plenty of rumours about the subject of the film, there’s no official word. So I guess we’ll just have to wait and watch. And hope for our minds to be blown yet again.
