Earlier Warner Brothers had tweeted from their official handle, stating - "We are sad to announce that Crazy Rich Asians would not be releasing in India." This announcement elicited a wave of disappointment as many Indian fans were waiting with bated breath for the first contemporary English-language Hollywood movie with an almost all-Asian cast. Take heart desi fans! Warner Bros. later took down the tweet. It recently announced the India release date of Jon M Chu's smash hit film - 21 September. The seesawing continued and the release has now been deferred to 5 October.
