Recently on a talk show, celebrity kid Janhvi Kapoor got candid about her relationship with her late mother Sridevi. Fondly recalling a bittersweet memory of Sridevi who passed away in 2018, Janhvi spoke about a little incident that took place just after she’d told her mother that she wanted to pursue acting as a career.

Opening up about her life, Janhvi narrated the incident on the talk show Feet Up with the Stars with Anaita Shroff Adajania. The incident is a very honest reflection of the kind of endearing mother-daughter relationship shared by the two.

This was a little after I told my mom I wanted to act. We had an argument about something. And I started crying a lot. And she was trying to explain something to me. I was really crying and she looked at me and said - “You look good when you cry. It’s good for an actor. I feel bad for you already”. And I was like, mom, you really need to feel bad for me now. Not just from an actor’s point of view.

As the daughter of the late legendary actor Sridevi, it’s no wonder that Janhvi Kapoor found her calling in acting. And now, it seems like her younger sister Khushi also might follow the same footsteps. During the interview, Janhvi Kapoor revealed that Khushi no longer had plans of becoming a model. She too is going to pursue acting. In fact, she’s soon going to be moving to New York to study at the New York Film Academy.

Janhvi also addressed trolls during the conversation. Referring to a recent incident when people criticised her for repeating an outfit, Janhvi spoke about the irrational idea of not repeating clothes.

I haven’t earned so much money also that I can wear new clothes everyday.

On the professional front, Janhvi Kapoor will be starring in Rooh-Afza, alongside Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma. She will be playing two characters, Roohi and Afsana, in the film. The film will be directed by debutant Hardik Mehta.
