Hold your breath! The much awaited wedding of the season, the “secret” wedding of Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood superstar Anushka Sharma, might just be round the corner. Neither Virat nor Anushka have denied the wedding rumours that have spread like wildfire, giving more reasons for media houses to play the guessing game.
From guessing the wedding venue to guessing the guest list and wedding trousseau, the media frenzy over the much-awaited wedding is unstoppable, and comes with interesting tidbits too!
Amid rumours that the couple have flown to Italy for their wedding, India Today zeroed in on a Tuscany resort for their wedding. According to the report, the “surreal” looking resort has been booked for the wedding. The channel has not only released “exclusive” photos but also said that they will refrain from revealing the resort’s name, in order to protect the privacy of the couple.
The India Today report gave us a glimpse of the “luxurious resort”, in an “undisclosed” location in Tuscany, surrounded by vineyards. The reporter also said that he heard bhangra and dhol echoing at the venue.
So if the wedding is happening, then who are the guests who made it to the list of invitees? According to Times Now, a “small celebrity guest list” has been put together. From the groom-to-be’s side only two cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh, have been invited.
The bride-to-be also has a short guest list, including first co-star Shah Rukh Khan, her PK co-star Aamir Khan, YRF’s Aditya Chopra and director Maneesh Sharma of ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ fame.
If you haven’t been living under the rock, you have already read a piece speculating what Anushka will be wearing on her big day.
Reports claim that the actress will be dressed in a Sabyasachi Mukherjee creation, and “she'd look as ethereal as she has when she donned stunning wedding wear.”
Will her real look match the reel look?
Virat and Anushka may not be getting married in India, but as Indians how can they get enter the holy wedlock without matching their horoscopes? To make it easier for them, the media has taken up the responsibility of an astrologer and predicted that while the marriage might bring professional success to both, there remains a possibility of “emotional conflict” as well.
According to India Today, their “planets will play a key role,” and the next two years will be “crucial” for the couple.
Well, wedding or not, some of us are looking forward to more of these wild guesses from the brotherhood.
