Earlier this year, Vicky Kaushal impressed us with his performance in Uri: The Surgical Strike. The hugely successful film also marked Aditya Dhar’s directorial debut and he was highly praised for his efforts. The film was produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
Now, the trio are set to return with a period-war film that revolves around the mythological character Ashwatthama, Mumbai Mirror reported. Vicky Kaushal will essay the titular role in the yet untitled film. The actor even shared the news on Instagram.
“After the huge success of Uri, the makers wanted to do something big and interesting. Aditya was working on the script even before the release of Uri, and when he narrated it to Vicky Kaushal and Ronnie Screwvala they promptly agreed. The shooting will start later this year,” a source told Mumbai Mirror.
As of now, Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming projects are Karan Johar’s Takht, Shoojit Sircar’s Udham Singh biopic and an untitled horror film.
