Ajay Devgn has completed 30 years in Bollywood and his journey has been quite remarkable. With Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior being his 100th film, the makers have dropped a special video to celebrate the actor’s filmography. The clip begins with some of his films that have been revolutionary, such as Bhagat Singh, Singham, Gangajal etc.
Then it moves on to the other section - the love stories. Ajay and Kajol stole our hearts in Raju Chacha, so did Aishwarya and Ajay in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Along with these two was the recent unconventional love story De De Pyaar De.
Ajay has been a part of films about separation and pain too. For instance in Drishyam and Shivaay, wherein he has to protect his family against odds. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam too is a saga of love and loss. These have been clubbed together under ‘Pain.’
If there’s sorrow, it has to be compensated with laughter too. Take Golmaal, Son of Sardaar, Ishq and others. From a cop to a thief to a freedom fighter - Ajay Devgn has essayed various roles in his career and this is one of the greatest tributes paid to him.
Some time back, the first look poster of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was finally released by the makers and it shows Ajay Devgn looking majestic and fierce, donning a red turban and holding a sword. In the foreground, a war is waging between two armies and a fort is shown. The film starring Ajay, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan is directed by Om Raut.
Sharing the poster on Twitter, Ajay wrote, “Mind that was as sharp as a sword... #TanhajiTheUnsungWarrior, in cinemas 10th January 2020.”
Two other posters had also dropped, one showing Saif Ali Khan charging with a sword and the other showing Saif and Ajay up in arms against each other.
Set in the 17th century, the film is based on the life of Tanhaji Malusare, the military leader in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
