Cannes Red Carpet: Sonam Kapoor Turned Heads With Her ‘Mehendi’

Sonam Kapoor’s final red carpet look at Cannes saw her in a beige Vera Wang gown, perfect for a summer ball. She complemented it with dramatic make-up. For another day look, she sported a striped Emilia Wickstead number, coupled with Sophia Webster shoes and Bottega Veneta shades.

Her most striking accessory was her bridal mehendi. The design may be fading but it was noticed by the most definitive international fashion magazine - Vogue amongst others. The B-Town fashionista was fielding congratulatory wishes, even at Cannes.

Her husband, Anand Ahuja seems to be swelling with pride. He posted a picture of the glowing description from the magazine on social media.

“Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor stepped out with a distinctive below-the-neck beauty signature that made head turns on the red carpet. At a Solo: A Star Wars Story screening, she wore delicate Henna designs etched across her hands...The traditional Indian form of body art, which the actress also wore at her fairytale wedding to businessman Anand Ahuja just one week prior, was accompanied by a nude manicure and a new wedding ring.”

Fashionista Sonam Kapoor made her first red carpet appearance at the Cannes Film Festival on Monday, and she sure didn’t let us down with the desi look.

The 32-year-old actress, who recently got married, surprised everyone by choosing an an off-white lehenga, by Ralph and Russo. Sonam picked a pair of simple studs, to go with her outfit, and braided her hair in traditional Indian style.

Sonam Kapoor and Mahira Khan show some love at Cannes. 

The Bollywood actress, who has made some iconic appearances in Cannes, made her debut this year with a black and white polka dot maxi dress. The Mother of Pearl dress was paired with Chloe boots.

She took to Instagram to share this look with a message reading "Hey, Cannes!"
