Shraddha Kapoor has been preparing to play Saina Nehwal for a long time and she recently began shooting for the much-anticipated biopic on the badminton star. However, the Batti Gul Meter Chalu actor has just been diagnosed with dengue and had to take a unplanned break from the shoot of the film.
According to Times Now News, Shraddha has been resting after she got the news, and will return to the film sets after a few weeks. A source was quoted saying, "Shraddha started feeling unwell a few days into the schedule. She stopped shooting on September 27 after a checkup revealed that she has dengue."
"She is expected to return to the film’s set in a couple of days. Meanwhile, Amole continues to shoot portions featuring the child actor who portrays the younger Saina, and other supporting artists," the source added.
Producer Bhushan Kumar confirmed the news.
Shraddha is coming off the huge success of Stree and decent reception to Batti Gul... The as of now untitled Saina biopic is directed by Amol Gupte and set to hit the screens some time next year.
