Actor Kangana Ranaut had recently told mid-day that she had been asked to wear a satin robe without undergarments for a photo shoot for a Pahlaj Nihalani film. The producer responded to her allegations, warning her “not to play with” him.
“I had spent one-and-a-half crore on that photo shoot and we had shot for three songs. She did the reading post the shoot, but with my advertisement and the poster she landed Mahesh Bhatt’s film (Gangster) and backed out of my film as she requested me to let her do Gangster as we were under a three-movie deal. She should not play with me, otherwise I have a lot of things to play with her,” Nihalani told Cineblitz.
Kangana had also termed the movie “soft porn”, and said that her character was that of a young girl lusting over her middle-aged boss. Nihalani responded on that too, saying that wasn’t the plot of the film. “It was a youth-centric film and Kangana had to play the role of a married woman. I had approached Amitabh Bachchan, but since the plot was very similar to Cheeni Kum, he declined the project,” he told Cineblitz.
