Shahid Kapoor Rubbishes Reports of Stomach Cancer Via Twitter

Shahid Kapoor says “all is well” to his fans.

Actor Shahid Kapoor took to Twitter to kill all the reports and rumours surrounding his health that have been doing the rounds. The actor tweeted a simple line to all his fans and followers that read: “Guys I’m totally fine pl don’t believe random stuff.”

Shahid’s name came up after a blind report appeared in a newspaper that an actor with a similar description to Shahid’s is suffering from blood cancer. This naturally got the actor’s fans worried and a lot of speculation began to go viral online regarding his health.

Shahid’s family was the first to react to the rumour. ABP quoted one of Shahid's family members as saying, "log kuchh bhi kaise likh sakte hain? Aakhir is khabar ka aadhar kya hai? Is tarah ki afwaahein phailaane ko kis tarah se jaayaz thehraya ja sakta hai?" (How can people write just anything? This news is based on what? Spreading rumours like these is not acceptable)."

Shahid was last seen in Batti Gul Meter Chalu with Shraddha Kapoor, which tanked at the box office. The actor is currently working on the remake of the Telugu hit Arjun Reddy which has been titled Kabir Singh in Hindi. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film will feature Shahid opposite Kiara Advani.
