Aamir Khan is ready to make Diwali bigger with his upcoming film Secret Superstar. The film features Dangal girl Zaira Wasim and Aamir Khan as Shakti Kumar, a music composer who helps her achieve her dream of becoming a singing superstar.
At the trailer launch, Aamir Khan shared quite a few secrets. From how he wanted to play tennis as a child but couldn’t pursue it as his father was against it, to his auditioning for Kiran Rao’s Dhobi Ghat and Secret Superstar, and his discovery of Zaira Wasim.
Incidentally, Aamir’s Shakti Kumar is apparently a “creepy” character and Kiran Rao wasn’t too keen that he play the role.
Director Advait Chauhan also shared how Aamir even auditioned for Secret Superstar.
Aamir also shared his joy over Dangal being successful in China.
What’s more, Aamir even sang his favourite number Aati Kya Khandal. Ironically, Mr Perfectionist, who is never seen at award functions, opens the movie trailer with the line Thak gya hun award lete lete.
