The Pyaar Ka Punchnama monologue catapulted Kartik Aaryan to fame and now he is gradually making his way to stardom with his film choices - his next is Dinesh Vijan’s Luka Chhupi. The actor changed his name from Kartik Aaryan Tiwari to Kartik Aaryan since he was not happy with the abbreviation - KAT. Here are some other revelations, the actor made on the podcast.
It’s little wonder that Kartik Aaryan liked elephants as a child. Who doesn’t like those giant gentle creatures? But Kartik specifically liked watching elephants...wait for it...pooping. “My Nani used to take me to see how elephants shit,” he says.
“They call me Center Shock, because my hair…it’s always up. And then Koki is something that I hated throughout my childhood,” confesses Kartik.
“It was a fabulous film, it’s just that at this point of time I didn’t want to be a part of it. That’s it. Sometimes there are films that are fabulous in their own way, it’s just that you have to connect to your character,” says Kartik Aryan who admits that he was unable to connect with the character in the film, in question. So, some actors do decline big banners!
Kartik reveals his trick, “I’ve been doing that all my life. When I entered the industry, I learned this trick that I’ve to do this otherwise everyone is going to say are ek drink pee le, ek drink pee le, kya hojayega, yeh nahi peeta, isko pilate hai...So what I do is with the bartender I just tell him that give me a glass of water, put nimbu in it and some ice and jo colour ka mujhe lag raha hota hai drink hoti hai logo ki, alcohol ke color ka. I just mix an orange juice or something, so that it looks like a proper... But pata nahi main kyu bata raha hun, kyuki agli baar log check karenge,”
“I’m very good at kissing. Self-taught,” Kartik opens up.
Kartik sardonically discloses on the show that his mother does not really understand the difference between a whisper and ‘saying it out loud’. “She just once asked me tune sex toh nahi kar liya hai,” he says. He also goes on to talk about his tiff with his girlfriend over his mother keeping in touch with his ex-girlfriend.
“Bawarchi ban jaunga. Araam se ban jaunga. Main sab bana lunga – Indian, Italian, jo chahiye,” Kartik also divulges his alternative career option on the show.
