Nick Jonas had some kind words for Priyanka Chopra and the team behind The Sky Is Pink, ahead of the film’s release on 11 October. The singer took to social media to share a glowing review of the film. He called the story “bold and beautiful” and said that he was proud of Priyanka’s work as both actor and producer in the film.
He wrote in his note,
While The Sky Is Pink premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, Nick watched the first cut of the film while on vacation in Italy. In an interview with Zoom, Priyanka revealed that he teared up and asked her to call the film’s director, Shonali Bose, as he wanted to tell her that films like The Sky Is Pink are the reason people become actors. Priyanka has also spoken about how Nick helped her mother out with the wedding prep so that she could focus on shooting for the film, which was scheduled until a few days before they tied the knot in December last year.
The Sky Is Pink tells the story of Aditi and Niren Chaudhary, told through the eyes of their daughter. It takes inspiration from the life of Aisha Chaudhary, who was born with an immune deficiency disorder and later diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. The film stars Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.
