After looking outrageously fabulous in the ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’ theme at the Met Gala 2019 in Dior, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas changed into more comfortable outfits for the after party.
The actress shared a picture on her Instagram account, where Priyanka and hubby Nick are seen hanging out with their Indian friends, which included Deepika Padukone.
The desi girl wrote, “Charlie and the Indian angels end the night.”
The picture also features stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania and Natasha Poonawala.
Apart from clicking lots of photos, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone were also seen shaking a leg to Bollywood songs. Fashion designer Prabal Gurung, who created the gala outfits for singers Nicki Minaj and Halsey, businesswoman Isha Ambani and others, shared some fun photos and videos from the after party.
The clip shows him croon to Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai as he walks along the passageway at the museum with Priyanka and Isha. Priyanka swishes the long cape of her dress and breaks into a dance. Replying to Gurung saying that they should sing only Bollywod songs, Priyanka jokes that the song has to be campy. He breaks into Kaate Nahi Kat Te from Mr India.
Another video shows Deepika grooving to Ghoomar from Padmaavat and the title track from Bajirao Mastani as he lends his voice to the songs.
More pictures show all of them having a ball at the after-party.
There was a fan of Deepika’s at the Met Gala who tripped on chairs and got a cramp to meet her - Lilly Singh. “ Searched the entire Met Gala, knocked over 6 chairs with my dress, got stepped on by 16 people and got a cramp... to find my sister Deepika Padukone and give her a hug. Worth it”, she wrote on Instagram.
To which the actor replied:
While Priyanka wore a cleverly modified version of the Dior couture gown, Deepika went for a yellow gown and a monochrome fur coat for the night.
Deepika went for a barbie doll look in pink gown by designer Zac Posen with a long train for her Met Gala red carpet.
