The two Indians that are really excelling at representing India at a global level are Manushi Chhillar and Virat Kohli. Manushi, who was crowned Miss World 2017, and Kohli who is the face of Indian cricket, recently met at an event in Delhi, where the two exchanged some very encouraging words. Manushi was awarded the Special Achievement honour by Kohli, while Kohli himself won the Popular Choice for Indian of the Year award. Watch Virat Kohli presenting the award to Manushi Chhillar here:
Manushi Chhillar even asked Virat Kohli an important question, to which, Virat replied candidly.
Manushi Chhillar: There are a lot of young people who draw inspiration from you. How would you like to give back for children, especially in the world of cricket?
Virat Kohli: Well, what’s very important to understand is when you do what you do and you express yourself on the field, it has to be genuine and it has to be from the heart. Otherwise if people find out that you’re trying to pretend, then they can never connect to you.
He also said, "For me the joy of life is just watching that ball and hitting it from the middle of the bat". It takes a real sport to come with a winning answer like this one and a sassy pageant winner to ask the question in the first place.
