Madhuri Recalls the Last Time She Met Sridevi

Sridevi was originally meant to play Madhuri’s role in ‘Kalank’.

Madhuri Dixit is part of the ensemble cast of Karan Johar’s upcoming period film Kalank. However, her role was initially supposed to be played by Sridevi, who passed away on 24 February 2018.

Madhuri opened up about her last meeting with the late actor telling Mumbai Mirror, “We met for the last time at Manish's (designer Manish Malhotra) birthday party. She was with her daughters and so happy.”

Acknowledging that Sridevi made her contemplate the brevity of life, Madhuri said, “That's why it is important to live each day to the fullest. Hold your family and kids close because you don't know what can happen tomorrow. Sridevi left behind a void; there's this huge empty space.”

Madhuri will be seen next opposite Anil Kapoor and Ajay Devgn in Total Dhamaal, which hits theatres on 22 February.
