For all the perceived faults of its shoddy script, there’re no denying the larger-than-life, chaotic, colourful universe that Aanand L Rai’s Zero portrays. The ambitious film employed extensive VFX to bring this world alive and especially to depict Shah Rukh Khan as Bauaa Singh, a dwarf.

When King Khan was asked about playing Bauu Singh in Zero in an interview with Deccan Chronicle, he said,

“I believe every film I do is like my daughter. People spend lavishly on their daughter’s wedding, so why can’t I spend on my film? Let whatever I am doing for my daughter, be nice, and inshallah, the money will follow”.

Talking about experimenting with his film choices, the actor said, “ I also feel that if you really are the king, you should have the choice to make your own choices. A king without choices is not a king at all”.

Rightly said!
