A non-cognisable offence has been filed against actor Kim Sharma for allegedly assaulting her former house help. The offence was registered under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the IPC.
According to Mumbai Mirror, 31-year-old Esther Khes started working at Kim Sharma’s Khar residence from 27 April. While doing the laundry on 21 May, she reportedly forgot to separate the whites from coloured clothes, after which a white tee shirt was spoilt.
According to Esther, she went and told Kim about the mistake immediately, who flew into a temper, manhandled and abused her and threw her out of the house. She also refused to settle her payments despite repeated requests from Esther.
Esther then filed the complaint against the actor on 27 June.
Kim Sharma denied the assault charges to Mumbai Mirror and said that Esther’s payments would be cleared by the 7th of the month.
