Actor, producer, director and the eldest son of late actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor is best known for the song Jaane-Ja Dhundta Phir Raha picturised on him and Jaya Bachchan, Bhaduri then in the 1972 film, Jawani Diwani.
This man who rocked the Hindi cinema scene in the 70s with movies like Hath Ki Safai, Ponga Pandit, Kal Aaj Aur Kal and Bhanwar celebrated his 71st birthday on Thursday in China Garden, Bandra. His daughters Kareena and Karisma threw a birthday bash that saw the whole Kapoor clan - Kunal Kapoor, Aadar and Armaan Jain, Rajiv Kapoor and others assembling.
The Kapoor grandkids seem to love their doting grandpa. Even the cake carried their names - Samaira, Kiaan and Taimur. Though the nation’s obsession, chhote nawab and his father Saif Ali Khan were missing from the scene, his mother Kareena Kapoor made up for their absence. She sizzled in an all black outfit while Karisma looked effortlessly elegant in a burnt orange and maroon outfit.
With her hair pulled back in a pony-tail, Kareena Kapoor was subtle yet sweltering in her black outfit. The chiseled cheekbones complementing that pout seem to comprise her signature expression.
The Kapoors are always seen celebrating their thick bond. The cousins with Kareena and Karisma Kapoor make for a perfect family picture.

(The Quint, in association with BitGiving, has launched a crowdfunding campaign for an 8-month-old who was raped in Delhi on 28 January 2018. The baby girl, who we will refer to as 'Chhutki', was allegedly raped by her 28-year-old cousin when her parents were away. She has been discharged from AIIMS hospital after undergoing three surgeries, but needs more medical treatment in order to heal completely. Her parents hail from a low-income group and have stopped going to work so that they can take care of the baby. You can help cover Chhutki's medical expenses and secure her future. Every little bit counts. Click here to donate.)
