Sridevi’s sudden death on 24 February in Dubai was a shock to fans and more importantly, to her family including daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor and husband Boney Kapoor. Janhvi who marked her debut with Sairat in 2018 says the year has been the best and worst for her.

"It's harder to say anything. When I say 'growth', I mean personal growth, I don't know about artistic. This year brought me both the worst and the best experience of my life. It's a little strange,” she said at IFFI in Goa.

She also spoke about her new-found bond with her step-siblings, Arjun and Anshula Kapoor.

Our family is now united, so that is very big thing for me. But, whatever happened was too heavy. We are still in shock, so we haven’t been able to process it properly. I’m really thankful for all the love that we have received and I got a chance to work, which is a big thing for more. I got a chance to make my parents proud, which is important for me.

Janhvi will be starring in Karan Johar's, Takht, which releases in 2020.
